There is no charge for participating and it is open to the whole Jewish community regardless of synagogue affiliation or level of religious observance or knowledge.

Services, prior to the Torah reading, begin at the usual 10:00 AM

Shavuot commemorates the day we became a nation. The Lubavitcher Rebbe, of blessed memory, spoke numerous times of the importance of celebrating and commemorating this all important day by hearing the reading of the Ten Commandments. He said that everyone should be present for this Torah reading, men, women, children, and even infants.
